This sculpture was moved from Beacon, NY to the Cooperage, a Honesdale , PA concert and theatre venue. The sculpture will be on display for about six months.

Twelve sculptors are exhibiting outdoors on Main Street Beacon, NY. The above drawing was my proposal. It is a mixed media pastel drawing on  18 W. 24 L watercolor paper.
Below is a photo of my sculpture called Desert Flame.
It is a ferro-cement sculpture, 11 feet 8 inches high and 4 feet wide and deep. It is mounted in front of the Howland Cultural Center, 477 Main Street, Beacon. www.beacon3d.org

“Burnt Offerings” Multimedia Ceramic Exhibition

The Greene County Council on the Arts is proud to present “Burnt Offerings,” a group exhibition of artwork by ceramic artists at the GCCA Catskill Gallery May 10th through June 21st. An opening reception will be held May 24th from 5 to 7 p.m., 398 Main Street, Catskill, NY.
The show will examine the interplay between clay as a sculptural medium and representations of similar ideas in other media.  This show includes experimental firing techniques and conceptual uses of ceramics.  In addition to traditional ceramic pieces, the show will include related drawings, encaustics, prints and sculptures by ceramicists that engage similar themes, stylistic concerns or subject matter.

Saints & Sinners juried show at bau Gallery Dec. 14 - Jan. 11

Note:  Opening and Closing party on Sat. Jan. 4, 2014  from 6-9 PM

Is this Limestone Ganesh a saint or a sinner? Juried by Carl Van Brunt, this exhibition takes place in Beacon, NY. The sculpture usually sits by a pond, but also looks good indoors on a base. It was created in 1998 and is 14 H. 18L. 13W inches. There is also a small ceramic maquette of this image on display.

Northeastern Biennial 2013, Oct. 19 - Nov. 13

This show was a progressive exhibition at four locations in Scranton, PA.
My ceramic work called "Nesting Shell" was shown at the Hope Horn Gallery at the University of Scranton. It was juried by David S. Rubin.

David Revere McFadden from Museum of Art and Design, Columbus Circle, NYC was the jurorof thirty ceramic artists. The show was at the BWAC location in Red Hook at 499 Van Brunt Street, Brooklyn, NY  11231. There is a catalogue available for this show.

"Up Close" bau exhibit Aug. 10 - Sept. 8 2013

Naomi Teppich exhibited ceramic wall and 3D sculptures and companion drawings in this four person show.The focus is on fossilized sea creatures. there is also a marble sculpture and a maquette version of "Hermaphroditic Plant" in stoneware in the storefront window.

bau 98 / neu bau February 2013 exhibition

Showing in Gallery I at bau gallery is "Ammonoid Mandela", an anagama fired ceramic wall sculpture with it accompanying drawing in pastel on inked  bfk paper. This is a group show featuring the new members of bau gallery and will run from Feb 9 - Mar 3. Morphon IV, a tiger's eye alabaster sculpture on a cement base along with two other stone pieces are displayed in the gallery front window.

January at bau in Beacon, NY

"Budding Bloom" a carved Spanish rose alabaster sculpture on wood, made in 1998,  is being exhibited in a group show. The piece is 13"L. 7.5"W. 13"H. Along with this work is another stone carving entitled Moonshroom, and a ceramic wall sculpture called Golden Shelf Species.

Collaborative Concepts at Saunders Farm, Garrison, NY, Sept. 1- Oct.28, 2012 2012

Cactus-Cocoon, previously shown at Catskill Art Society in Livingston Manor, NY in March 2012 is now exhibited on the farm along with 60 + sculptures over seven pastures with visiting angus cows and horses.
The address is 853 Albany Post Road, Garrison, NY 10524. There is a mid-run reception on Sat., Oct. 13, 2-6 pm (raindate Oct. 14) including music and performance art.

Vernal Equinox at CAS, Livingston Manor, NY

Exhibition extends from March 3 – April 8, 2012

The Catskill Art Society is proud to present “Vernal Equinox,” a two person exhibition featuring the three-dimensional environmental art of Ursula Clark and Naomi Teppich at the CAS Arts Center, 48 Main Street, Livingston Manor, NY.
Born in Germany, Clark lives and works in Brooklyn, NY, where she creates site-specific installations using natural materials. Teppich was born and raised in New York City, and now lives and works in Galilee, PA. Both artists will present sizable three dimensional cocoon-like structures during “Vernal Equinox,” and additional sculptures including ceramic pieces and three-dimensional works on bases, created by Teppich.

CAS Gallery hours for this exhibition are Thursday - Saturday 11am – 6pm, and Sunday 11am - 3pm. The CAS Arts Center is wheelchair accessible and open to the public.

There is no cost to attend the following events and all are welcome.

CAS will host an artist talk for “Vernal Equinox” with Ursula Clark and Naomi Teppich from 2-3pm on Saturday, March 3.

CAS will host an opening reception for the exhibit, “Vernal Equinox” on Saturday, March 3 from 3pm - 5pm. Light refreshments will be served.

Euphorbia at Collaborative Concepts,Saunders Farm, Garrison, NY, Sept 3 - Oct. 31, 2011

A giant cactus growing in the north-east, created in 2007, to bring attention to global warming. This sculpture is made of ferro-cement, expanded metal, and copper. It stands 9 feet high, and 7.5 feet wide and long.

Lotus Peaks at the Himalayan Institute , Honesdale, PA

This Translucent white alabaster sculpture is displayed in the front lobby of the main building of the Himalayan Institute. The size is 16.5 L. 15W. 13.5H inches and the piece was created in 2005.

"Protrusion" at the Hanson Gallery, Honesdale, PA

This carved ceramic sculpture was recently exhibited in October-November 2010 at the Hanson Gallery during their show called Autumn Marvels. Naomi has shown several works in three different group shows this fall in this gallery. The sculpture is a wall piece and is 11 L. 6W. 6.5 Deep (inches) and was created in 2009.

Ancient Morphons at the Greene County Council on the Arts

Inspired by primordial sea creatures and their fossilized forms and textures Naomi Teppich has had a solo exhibit of her sculptures and drawings at the Council in Catskill, NY. The exhibit ran from Saturday August, 21 through Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010.
The sculptures are ceramic, some fired in an anagama kiln and some in an electric kiln. Along with these works are mixed media drawings.
